Rental Policy
Our booking policy is essential for aligning activities with our core values, ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, and maintaining high service quality. Please read this entire document, as you must agree to it to book a room. This helps manage resources effectively and keeps our focus on benefiting the community. Our policy also ensures legal and ethical compliance, protecting our center and community members. Your understanding and cooperation in upholding these standards help us create a safe, welcoming environment rooted in our shared commitment to our community.
We value the opportunity to serve our community and prioritize aligning our services with our mission, vision, and values. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse service or cancel reservations in instances where they may not align with the core principles of the Highland Community Center.
1. Individuals desiring to use the Highland Community Center (HCC) must book 5 days in advance for booking events. All rental fees must be paid in full at booking of your event.
2. Cancellation will be effective 5 days prior to event if individual has not contacted the HCC Booking Agent and finalized all business transactions, including licenses, insurance, and permits.
3. The Highland Community Center is available for use by county agencies, charitable organizations and family functions. Fundraising is permitted for non-profit organizations only. No charging the public at any events.
4. A nonrefundable cleaning fee is required in addition to rental fees. Cleaning fees are included in the rental price at booking. You will be responsible and liable for any damages incurred above and beyond the rental and cleaning fees.
5. Rental fees are listed on each event according to the facilities used and time allotted.
6. It is the responsibility of each group/individual to take out their trash and leave the facilities in the condition they were found in.
7. There will be a clean-up inspection and inventory check after each use of the facility.
8. If you wish to see the facility in advance, you must make arrangements with us. Call and schedule an appointment.
9. All heat and air conditioning will be tuned off after use.
10. Alcoholic Beverages are not allowed inside or on the grounds of the Highland Community Center unless excepted by the center for a specific event and proper permits, insurance, and licenses are obtained. Smoking is not allowed inside the facility at any time. Weapons are not allowed on the premises at any time, inside or out. The Center Requires 2 (two) off duty police officers during most large events for security. Contact us for details, rental is subject to cancellation without security.
11. The Highland Community Center Organizational Committee and Board of Directors are not responsible or liable for any accident or injuries on the premises. Renter is responsible for providing their own liability coverage.
12. By agreeing to this policy you hereby assume all responsibility for any and all accidents and incidents while participating in any activity at the Highland Community Center and furthermore release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the Highland Community Center, its administrators, board of directors, officers, officers, officials, volunteers, and all others involved with the center.
Booking our facility constitutes an agreement to this policy.
